I had seen the above notice on the “National Park Service” Website before I had set off to Acadia.

We swung by “Sieur de Monts” on Saturday, March 3, 2018.

As you can see from my pictures it was NOT flooded. Lot of snow/ice and the ground was very soggy. But, the flooding was history. That, however, was before today’s latest Nor’easter, “Quinn“.

So, just giving you an update.

What can I say?

At least, unlike so many, I am honest and upfront.

Yes, yes, yes. I have been accused, maybe just once or twice in my life, that I have ‘a one-track mind‘ or ‘that I need to get my mind off where water drains‘.

In my defense, I have to say that I do (promise) have a multitrack mind — but one-track might be devoted quite often to matters carnal in that I do have a scientific interest on such matters. I did write a book … right?

Anywho …

I thought that they had STOLEN the Google Doodle I designed, in 2015, “National No Bra Day“.

Today, March 7, Is Credited As The Day That ‘Current’ Monopoly Was ‘Created’ By Charles Darrow.

by Anura Guruge

A quick Google will show that there are claims that March 7, 1933 was when Monopoly, as we know it today, came to be. I also happened to hear ‘this’ on the radio which what got me to go looking.

Yes, there is an extensive ‘History of Monopoly‘ on Wikipedia. That entry, however, does not mention March 7, 1933. So, I am a bit confused and skeptical.

But, I wanted to make sure that I at least got a ‘scratch’ in the sand, just in case.

So, I am posting this with a caveat. This might or might not be true!

It Is Vivian Richards, ‘The Master Blaster’ Celebrates His 66th Birthday Today. Happy Birthday, Viv.

by Anura Guruge

IVA Richards — Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards, a man that has given me much joy, entertainment and inspiration. He was the man.

That great HOT Summer of 1979 and he missed the Lord’s Test (which I attended, on the Saturday), because he had ‘mono’, no doubt from kissing too many girls.

He has done much for cricket, his native Antigua, the ‘West Indies’ and the cricketing world in general.

I feel honored that I got to meet him, in person, a number of times.

Happy Birthday, Viv. Thanks for all the GREAT Times.
