The whole MH370 ‘saga’ makes me very sad and angry.

I just find it beyond the pale that none of the ‘Super Powers’ will step in and divulge what they have in terms of real-time satellite imagery. They just do NOT want others to know what their capabilities are.

It will be 4-years in two months.

This is unprecedented.

People playing games. Most of the bodies will be gone. Nothing left. How sad.

Australia is culpable. They screwed-up the initial search. But, they were never competent enough or adequately equipped.

A Photo Of “Mirror Lake”, NH, By Polymath Richard (‘Dick’) Byrd, Esq. Of ‘Wolfeboro’, NH.

Over the last month or so I have posted photos, articles and a poem by Dick Byrd: lawyer, software entrepreneur, painter, poet, photographer, raconteur, Photoshop maestro, philosopher, writer, race car driver, mechanic & all-round-nice-guy.

Given his Photoshop wizardry, I always ask Dick as to how much Photoshop is there in a given picture — ‘Mirror Lake’ (above) being where he lives and this was from his deck.

This is what he said about this picture:
“Of course there is some photoshop.
I took out a couple of houses visible thru the trees at the far side of the lake to get that totally rustic view.
I increased the saturation a little on the sky and reduced it a little on the trees and water.

Winter Turns The Corner In New Hampshire TODAY, January 7, 2018 — Sunrise FINALLY Getting Earlier.

by Anura Guruge

Click to ENLARGE & study.

That we had the 2017 Winter Solstice on December 21 did NOT mean that sunrise started to get earlier — and sunsets later.

At our latitudes sunrise getting earlier and sunset getting later is NOT symmetric.

Following the Solstice (as the bottom chart shows) sunsets got later, BUT the sunrises kept getting later! It was the later sunsets that made sure that the days got, just, shorter.

But, as of TODAY, January 7, 2018 all that changes.

Sunrises get earlier … and earlier. Within 15 days, sunrise will be a full 7-minutes earlier. The days would be 25 minutes longer. Yes, 25-minutes longer.

Enjoy.

We are turning the corner and next week will be warm.
