Venus-Jupiter Conjunction Over New Hampshire, Monday, November 13, 2017 — Clouds & Trees!

Clouds could be a problem. Supposed to be cloudy all day, starting early.

The conjunction will also be low-down (i.e., close to the horizon) and as such, IN NEW HAMPSHIRE, could be obscured by our trees, even if they don’t have any leaves anymore.

Republished “Quick Guide To Brain Meditation” eBook With “Draft2Digital” For iBooks, B&N etc.

I had never heard of “Draft2Digital” until a few weeks ago when I came across them in a CreateSpace forum. I had a quick look and I was impressed.

They are INCREDIBLY flexible and appeared to cover all the bases. Lulu and others offer similar capabilities BUT Lulu (who I used to publish with many years ago) has become a pain to use/

My MAIN INCENTIVE was that they would publish my eBooks on Apple, as iBooks. I have never had that exposure.

As some of you know I have been a diehard Amazon, Kindle (KDP) and CreateSpace fan when it came to publishing my books. While a Kindle eBook can be read on any Apple device I knew that not having my eBooks as iBooks was a ‘limitation’. So, that Draft2Digital’s biggest pull — plus that I didn’t have to jump through any hoops in terms of reformatting my eBooks. The Word document I used with Kindle would work — AND DID WORK!

Draft2Digital is EXTREMELY SLICK. Wow.

It took me a TOTAL of 12-minutes to create an account (from scratch, with passwords etc.), set-up payments (PayPal) and TAX INFORMATION AND publish the first book!

12-minutes.

Yes, I had all the files, book descriptions etc. from doing it on Kindle. So all of that was just copy-and-paste.

No fees or up-front payments. They take 15% commission (or thereabouts) and I am cool with that.

My problem is that most of my eBooks are still subject to KDP Select — which means Amazon has exclusive rights to them, ALBEIT on 3-month rolling windows. So, a couple of weeks ago I went ahead and cancelled all the KDP select rollovers. But, right now I only have this book (I published) and the Pope John XXII book that are OUT of KDP Select. I will publish all of them as they come off KDP Select but that will take me into January 2018.

When Thanksgiving Has Fallen, November 22 To 28, 1942 – 2017; November 23 In 2017.

U.S. Thanksgiving has NOT always been on
the 4th Thursday of November.

It used to be on the LAST Thursday of November.

You can have 5 Thursdays in November,
as was the case 2012 & back in 1939.

The 4th Thursday in November
was made a Federal Holiday in 1942.

So, Thanksgiving on the 4th Thursday
is but 76-years old.

This year Thanksgiving is on November 23.

It was last on November 23 in 2006 and before that 2000.

The 11-year gap, is atypical BUT part of the pattern — as is the case with when a given date falls on a particular day. The ’11’ having to do with leap years and the 7-days in a week. Other than the 11-year gap, which typically occurs every 4-years, the usual gap is either 5 or 6. You can clearly see that in the first image.

The second image shows what I call the ‘ebb and flow’ of how the dates CYCLE through November 22 to November 28. Kind of mesmerizing — at least to I.

Remembrance Sunday 2017, London Cenotaph Ceremony Video With The Queen, Prince Philip & Prince Charles.

by Anura Guruge

This year, as had been announced by Buckingham Palace a month ago, Prince Charles, rather than the Queen, laid the first wreath (i.e., the Head of State’s wreath) at the Cenotaph.

The Queen (91) & Prince Philip (91), suitably decked in red poppies, watched from the balcony of the Foreign Office.

Contrary to what you may read or hear (including in the description of the above video) this is NOT the first time that the Queen has not laid the ceremonial wreath. It was the 7th time. TWICE (1959 & 1963) were when she was pregnant and the other four were when she was out of the country on state visits abroad. In 1983, Prince Charles performed the same role as he did today, while the Queen was on an official visit to Kenya.

plus some gorgeous pictures.
