‘Riverdance’ 20th-Anniversary Tour — Some Pictures Of The Titchy Stage.

by Anura Guruge

My June 8, 2017 post on the
Manchester, NH show on June 7, 2017.

Cameras were not allowed into the arena BUT phones were — as if phones do not have cameras built-in! It is a travesty.

Deanna had her phone with her and took these pictures prior to the start. They clearly demonstrate the paucity of the stage.

Another Custom ‘American Girl Doll’ Bed By Teischan (11).

by Anura Guruge

From discarded shelf unit she found at our local Swap Shop yesterday. She did the painting, decorations and made the mattress! She is now going to make some blankets. I suggested she also make some linen to put in the drawer units. Did all of this, including the sewing of the mattress, on her own. She has two (2) electric sewing machines of her own and also uses her mother’s fancy Japanese one. She is only one who does much sewing around the house these days.

A previous bed she made in July last year.

The ‘American Girl Doll‘ corner of her room
— mainly with things she has made.

Teischan likes doing crafts and is good at it. Next to her electronics, crafting is her next greatest pastime.

She particularly enjoys making elaborate stuff for her two ‘American Girl Dolls‘. Check out: bathroom/shower, furniture, fireplace, Christmas, Harry Potter books etc.. She has been doing this for two years.

Today, it was this bed. She only picked it up yesterday. It is quite heavy and I have helped her a few times carrying it around. The dolls have quite few beds now, including a bunk bed.

I am very happy that she does this stuff. She could make a career out of it.

Jacques Cousteau, The Famous Diver, Was Born This Day, 107-Years Ago; June 11, 1910.

I always liked and admire Jacques — and what was there, ever, not to like. I used to watch the “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau“, in the 1970s, with undisguised fascination. Diving is not my thing. I swim and I like to swim but coming from the island nation of Ceylon I did not learn to swim until I left Ceylon aged 14! So, while I do swim, near daily in the Summer, it is not something that comes naturally to me. Diving is another matter. I have no issue with snorkeling, though it is something I rarely do. Going way down in the water does not appeal! So, I lived vicariously through Jacques.

Today’s so called ‘open-circuit’ scuba technology
was created by Jacques in the 1940s.
