The Flavor Of JTG Music Memorial Extravaganza 2017 At Giuseppe’s, Meredith: ‘No Limitz’.

by Anura Guruge

Short 2 minute YouTube video
just to let YOU enjoy the flavor.

The annual JTG Music Memorial Extravaganza 2017 on Sunday, April 2. The 23rd! Wow. It was good. These are the ‘No Limitz‘. They were good, as you can hear. Taking videos is not my forte — and something I am not partial to doing. So excuse poor quality. Shot with my Sony a6000.

Pope St. John Paul II (#265) Died This Day 12 Years Ago; April 2, 2005.

Quite the momentous day.

He was 84 and had been in ill health for years. So this was not a surprise.

He, as far as we know, had the 2nd longest papacy — at 26.46 years, Pius IX (#256) exceeding that with 31.65 years.

Charlemagne (top left) and his eldest son, Pepin the Hunchback.

He was a man who, with the help of the papacy, changed the course of history.

Quite the man.

We know he was born on April 2, but not exactly on what year; whether it was 742, 747 or 748. No matter.

King of the Franks and King of the Lombards.

The Compelling Trailer
on YouTube.

I had seen the trailer (above) a few times at the cinema and knew that it was a movie I wanted to see.

My type of movie.

I was NOT familiar at all with the actual, true story given that it took place in the 1950s and early 1960s. That was even before I was a teenager.

It is a movie, involving the British Commonwealth, that I can relate to — with about 50% set in London.

Though I am not royalty I too have been ‘there’ so to speak given that all my wives have been white and the first one, as is the case in the movie, was very British.

Oh, by the way, ‘Edith’, from ‘Downton Abbey‘ is the sister. So that was interesting. She looks different — sometimes wearing glasses.

Very intense movie. We watched it (atypically for us) in one sitting.

It is available online.

Still topical themes.

Try and watch it. YOU will like it. It will make you THINK.
