The ‘Roman Catholic Relief Act’ That Enabled Catholics To Again Sit In Parliament Came To Be This Day, 188-Years Ago.

Still the best known magician and illusionist of all time.
Quite the guy.
Was an aviator too, THOUGH the claim (repeated in the above video) that he was the first to fly a plane in Australia is FALSE.
He died, in Detroit, in 1926 aged 52.

Comet ‘Shoemaker-Levy 9’ That Gave Jupiter Quite The Black Eye Was Discovered This Day, 24-Years Ago.
While the discovery per se was NOT big news, the cometary fragments slamming into Jupiter in July 1994 was indeed widely publicized and covered.
I remember watching it on TV.
This is a comet I am quite familiar with.
We learned a lot from it, especially the phenomenon of Jupiter capturing comets before they made it to the Sun.

Fuji With Its Unprecedentedly Large, 27-Item 2.0 Firmware Update To X-T2 & X-Pro2 Continues To Fine Tune Auto Focus (AF).
In July 2016 I decided that the Fuji X-T2, which I had thought was going to be my dream camera, was not so because I was getting increasingly disillusioned with Fuji’s AF prowess.
Reviews of the X-T2 vindicated my decision.
And now this 2.0 Firmware update.
While I am glad that Fuji, true to its reputation, continues to improve features of its cameras, this shows that there is still a lot that needs tweaking in the X-T2 when it comes to AF.
I do miss the brilliant JPEG color I could get from a Fuji. But, AF woes really got me down.
Hence my new found fondness for Sony.
