The de Havilland Comet, in particular the Comet 4, was my first love when it came to planes — and it has been a lifelong infatuation starting from when I was about 2. The Comet 4, flown by BOAC, was the first jet plane I ever saw — in Colombo, Ceylon. I never got to fly on it. My adopted parents did. I saw them take-off in one. It used to have this amazingly steep climb — much steeper than today’s jet.

This March 3 crash was the 1st in 26 — which eventually led to it being decommissioned.

The TDS online Bill Pay system was NOT working for 4-days! That is pretty basic stuff. Not being able get payments for 4 whole days is NOT good.

Then, while this was going on, they tell you that they are ending the Rewards Program!

Had a call from a TDS Supervisor Thursday morning. They are still messing around with my 15Mbs (backup/redundancy) Internet connection. I don’t really care because I use MetroCast’s 160Mbps Internet service for my work. I still won’t commit to their 1Gbps.

Heads Up: TDS plans to offer unbundled 1Gbps, in Alton, soon.

But, I get the feeling that TDS is struggling.

Just checked their stock performance (this being a stock I do not bother to follow).

NOT good. Recent results, last week, were not great.
