I Am All In Favor Of Median Rumble Strips In New Hampshire Lakes If It Keeps Bikers From Riding The Middle.
Three weeks ago they were scarce but suddenly they are everywhere — especially on Route 28 in and around Alton, New Hampshire. Centerline (i.e., median) in most places and both centerline and shoulders in other places.
I am glad — especially of the centerline rumble strips. I am so fed up of seeing bikers riding the centerline, often with their leg sticking further out, as if they own the damn road. It is dangerous for them and it is dangerous for us. The rumble strips should provide all of us with some separation. Let’s see. Bike week will be upon us soon. That will be the test.
Yes, the noise will be a distraction to those that live on the roads with rumble strips. Hopefully they will get used to it in time.

Latest “Free The Nipple” Arrests In Weirs Beach A Waste Of Laconia (N.H.) Taxpayer’s Money.
A New Hampshire judge, in Laconia no less, has already stated, quite clearly, that Laconia nor Gilford or for that matter any other city or town in New Hampshire CANNOT make female toplessness illegal when it is not illegal per the State. Simple as that. It is referred to as the “Home-Rule” clause.
From May 31, 2016 “The Laconia Daily Sun“.

These arrests are already a mockery of the law (and common sense) and just gives the New Hampshire “Free the Nipple” folks an irresistible rallying point. As long as there are arrests they will provoke the police and the citizens to make the pointless arrests.
The claim that “female toplessness isn’t appropriate because there were small children at the beach” is but laughable. Small children, especially, should be familiar with female breasts. IF not their mothers must have been negligent. Please don’t try to blame these stupid arrests on small children. They are innocent in every respect.
This is just going to make Laconia look silly and pathetic — and I like Laconia too much to see that happen.
