Fuji’s X-Pro2 Firmware 1.0 Explanation Raises Questions As To Testing & Quality Assurance.
That Fuji was forced to release a Firmware Update within 22 days of the much vaunted X-Pro2’s General Availability has to indicate that the Menu Setting Reset problem was real. The explanation (above) that comes with the 1.0 update confirms that.
This is disturbing and I speak of one who has been involved with software for 48 years! How could X-Pro2 testers, QA folks and beta-testers (in the field) NOT have seen this. Cameras would have to have been turned off — if nothing else to replace batteries. So people MUST have experienced this problem before the camera started to ship.
Would appear that Fuji OPTED to ship initial units KNOWING that there was this RESET problem. Would not be the first company to have knowingly shipped faulty products. But worrying. What can we expect with the Fuji X-T2 that is supposed to be available around August 2016.
