First FOUR Full-Size and hence LARGE.
The Sony a77 II, ordered through Amazon BUT fulfilled (i.e., shipped) by ‘Cameta Camera‘ arrived today, Friday, August 28, 2015 — albeit with Deanna going to the Post Office to pick it up.
Yes, we have a video of me unpacking it. So far, so good. Everything that Cameta said would be in the box was in the box and THERE is, contrary to what folks (including Cameta) had said, a Sony lens hood for the Sony 16-50mm SSM lens. That was a bonus since this is a $75 hood!
I took my time unpacking and sorting out all the bits. The Sony battery, with the Sony charger, took over 4 hours to fully charge. Instruction manual says 3 BUT maybe it was because it was the first charge. More about the Cameta bundle in another post.
Once I had the battery and my 64GB card (as opposed to the one supplied by Cameta) I felt obliged to snap some pictures.
These were taken WITHOUT ANYTHING being set on the Menus — other than date and time. Just set the Focus Mode Dial to ‘A’. That was all. The pictures shown above were shot on ‘P’ and ‘Auto’. I am reasonably happy. Tomorrow I will customize the camera.
It feels good and I love the illuminated viewfinder.
So far, so good.
