Given that in at least the last 10 of my books I have stated in the Preface that ‘Typo’ is my middle name, I can relate to a somewhat Freudian typo such as this. What was Alexander or was it Regina thinking as they typed that caption? The mind boggles.
I have noticed that the U.K. Daily Mail, my all time favorite newspaper, that I read every morning, while lying in bed, drinking a cup of coffee and listening to CNBC, has quite a few typos of late. I fully appreciate, doing this blog, how easy it is for that to happen when you are typing like crazy to get something posted. What cracks me up is that they don’t get around to correcting them. They must, given the millions who read them, get feedback. It is cute. It amuses me and makes me realize that others too suffer from my impediment. It does, however, suck.

This bothered me because I knew that even Sony USA did NOT have any units to ship in the U.S. as yet. I am on a wait list at Sony.
On Friday I took Amazon to task for MISREPRESENTING availability and for POSTING BOGUS reviews. Yes, that was Friday. Monday morning they changed their tune!
Also this is KEY. Amazon is ONLY listing itself as the supplier. I am DELIGHTED. IF I was getting a Sony RX10 II, or for that matter any camera, from Amazon, I want one “shipped from and sold by Amazon”. I trust Amazon and I know they will take it back at the HINT of a problem.
I am also skeptical about the Sony RX10 II BUNDLES that are being offered. Tell me I am wrong, but I get a feeling that they OPEN the Sony box. I do not want a $1,300 camera in a box that has been open.
Interesting that ‘Beach Camera’ that is offering a Sony RX10 II bundle on Amazon is admitting, on its site, that they are only accepting pre-orders.
I will, of course, let you know as soon as the Sony RX10 II becomes available in the U.S. Promise.

It does NOT get any better than this for us. We just adore the Christmas Revels, by ‘Revels North‘, at Dartmouth. For me Christmas would NOT be festive IF I didn’t get to go see Christmas Revels. We have been going, as a family, without a break, for the last 5 years, if not six. We have also always sat in the front row. The last 4 years wehave sat in the same four seats: AA 111 — 114. Front Row, Center — aisle. Well I already got those seats for this Christmas — TODAY.
My partiality to most things Scottish is well known and documented and I even claim I am an adopted Scot. Christmas is Revels (North) and September, for us, is the ‘Scottish Highland Games‘ at Loon. Now, BINGO. I get the two morphed together. Can’t wait.
When I got an e-mail this morning from “Revels North”, from their AMAZING Managing Director, Heather Alger, I couldn’t believe it. For me it was Christmas in August. I had a ton of stuff I had to do, BUT I dropped everything, ran downstairs, got my wallet and BOUGHT my tickets. I even had a brief telephone conversation with Heather. That was a bonus.
I told Teischan that I got THE seats. She was excited. She, at 9, has been going to Revels (North) as long as she can remember — and I think she was 4 when we took her to her first. So she knows the Revels formula and the “Dancing Bee” is one of her favorite songs.
This is GREAT. I am so pumped. Thank YOU, Revels North. We will be there, as ever, with bells on.
