nhlifefree.com

This blog is growing up.

It was reaching a point when the ‘wordpress.com’ sub-domain address was becoming a hurdle. It had to grow up and get a proper ‘.com’ domain name. So it has.

nhlifefree.com or www.nhlifefree.com.

But nhlife.wordpress.com also still works and will continue to work.

nhlifefree.com was the closest domain name I could get to ‘NH Life’. A bunch of people have registered and are sitting on the domain names HOPING that I will pay to buy the domain names from them. NO WAY. Much too experienced and savvy for that. All the Search engines know me and this blog well. I will get the hits irrespective of what the address is.

This was a Web housekeeping job that was overdue. The last 10 days, while my latest book is being proofed, has been a ‘time off’ period for me. In a way I feel lost. I am so used to working, heads down, on a book. But, I have used the time to catch up on stuff like this. Yes, I have also set up a blog for the new book. They will be unveiled together.

That the ICC 2015 World Cup is in its final stages was a BONUS. I have been able to watch the matches, ball-by-ball, without feeling guilty — though I am my own boss! Got my taxes done. I had allocated 4 days to get them done. Did them in a day! Yes, I started research and an Excel spreadsheet for the next book, #24.

But getting a ‘.com’ name for this blog was on the Do List — and now it is done.

Click to access U.K. “Daily Mail” coverage. Do a search on ‘Clarkson’ while you are there. Quite a few related articles. Most worth glancing at — especially one re. Piers Morgan.

I am glad and relieved. Yes, we were great fans of the show but these three clowns were totally out of control. They acted yobs, drunkard yobs at that. It was very unbecoming. It was far from British. We can and should be better. There time was up and they knew it. I applaud the BBC. Yes, we all know the show made a lot of money for the BBC but there are other shows. The “Great British Bake Off” for one. That show was class and compelling — and showed the Brits and the BBC in such a beautiful, resplendent light.

We haven’t actually watched ‘Top Gear’ in months. Don’t miss it. And yes there is a U.S. version.

But as a Brit, I am glad that the BBC did not dilly dally when it come to firing Clarkson. Yes, he may face criminal charges for punching his producer. I hope the police don’t let him off the hook. Another good day to be British. Cheers!
