This was Wednesday morning. Leno, on CNBC to plug his new show on that channel, was talking about Tesla and how the media was bad mouthing Tesla and revelling in the slightest of bad news related to them. He then, out of the blue said: “we are becoming like the British, always jeering success”!
I gagged on my coffee and nearly fell out of bed.
Us British jeer success?
That was bloody news to me.
Do we jeer the Beatles?
Do we jeer Richard Branson?
Do we jeer J.K. Rowling?
Do we jeer David Beckham?
Do we jeer Aston Martin?
Do we jeer the Rolling Stones?
Do we jeer THE Queen?
Do we jeer Ben Kingsley?
Do I need to go on?
It isn’t like we have EVER HAD a shortage in the success stakes.
What in damnation is the doughboy prattling on about. I always noticed that he likes to wear jeans that are too tight around the crotch. Maybe it is cutting off the blood supply to his brain. That is my explanation.
