As far as I can tell per my cursory research this is an
MG (Morris Garage) Type-T.

I don’t have the time to work out exactly what model,
viz. TF, TD, TC, TB, TA etc.

The support bars on which the headlamps are mounted
is what is throwing me.

They might have been an embellishment.

To be honest I only know MGs as of the MG Midget in 1961.
That does makes sense given my age.
I can’t remember any MGs in Ceylon.

Anyway enjoy this beautiful gem.

Yesterday, when we were regrouping at the Gilford High School, after the Gilford 2014 Old Home Day Parade I noticed, with start, that there was some color, vivid at that, around me. Just two days earlier I had commented that I had yet to see any foliage. Of course I know Gilford is north of Alton but we are not talking by much. But then again every mile must count.

Wow. They even had a full tree that was all orange. I didn’t have enough zoom in my 8-year old camera to catch it — and I didn’t have the time to walk over to get closer.

I took this picture in the High School parking lot. You can actually see a yellow school bus. Click to ENLARGE.

Here is another representative picture. This one is of a tree on Belknap Mountain Road, Gilford’s main drag on the ‘center of town’ side of the tracks. Click to ENLARGE.

Today on my run, 3 days after my original post I did notice color. So it is beginning to happen FAST — which is what I thought would happen given the cold nights.

Yes, we are the unofficial, unrewarded Paul Warnick Fan Club — the Alton branch.

We knew Paul was scheduled to be doing his incomparable stuff, at the Bandstand, when the 2014 Gilford Old Home Day Parade ended.  So that was a bonus for us. I had kind of planned to go to Old Home day just to see Paul! But then when Lisa asked us to march with her in the Parade it seemed serendipitous. All worked out beautifully. Suffice to say Paul was GOOD. Very good. What innate talent. The young sax and harmonica player he had, accompanying him, was good too. I liked his harmonica playing. They were a great kick-off for the festivities. The Sun did shine. It was a beautiful morn.

Deanna, at my behest, captured this video of Paul doing ‘Jack & Diane’ .

I created a YouTube photo montage of the still pictures
we took,
about 80%, including the close ups,
I took with my old camera.

These were the ones I used to create the above musical photo montage.

This is Andrew Hosmer, who we know and have supported. Lisa is in the middle, next to Devanee. That is Andrew’s daughter in front of me.

That is U.S. Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter in the middle in the pink-and-white top. The four of us, holding signs, are at the extreme right. Teischan is at the end.

With our friend Mike Cryans.

As ever a good, pleasant, very happy, very laid-back crowd. I like the Democrats. Nice, decent bunch of folks — always upbeat and jovial. I guess we kind of know many of the locals and they know us. I was touched that Carol Shea-Porter knew who I was. We, as ever, had a ball. The kids know these folks and have met them enough to feel comfortable around them. That makes me happy. Yep, we had a good showing and were well and keenly received along the route.

Do you recognize the long-serving, well respected and well liked, but now, retired Gilford politican? Though not a Democrat she was at our wedding in 2003!

The good looking 20-year old young man on the left (with his Dad), a Plymouth-State Junior, is Andrew Hosmer’s Campaign Manager. 12 years ago he was my neighbor on Varney Point Road, Left in Gilford.
