Shipping, as I had suspected, was steep — 80% of the item’s cost! Yes, it is ceramic and probably quite tall. But …? This is an issue, alas, with British poppy merchandise — so much so that I have thought about becoming a shipping agent for the U.S., not to make any money, BUT to reduce the crazy costs. C’est la vie.
I was going to get one, irrespective of the shipping cost. It is my birthday present. Deanna ordered it today. See above.
