This will be the sixth, if not seventh, Clearlakes Chorale concert that I have had the privilege and pleasure of hearing. It is the fourth that Devanee is signing in.

All of the Clearlakes Chorale concerts have been exquisite and I have sung their praises on this blog many times.

Since I drive Devanee to the weekly practices I have been blessed to hear the last four performances multiple times. While all of them have been special, there is a certain but unmistakable je nais se quoi about this Come Gentle Spring ensemble. The Clearlakes music director, the maestro, Andy Campbell, has yet again excelled in pulling together this inspired program. It is an amazing synergistic repertoire: very lilting, hauntingly melodious, profoundly uplifting and pleasantly soothing. I have been looking forward, each week, for my private audition of this concert — since I am, invariably, the only one in the audience.

Bottom line, this concert is special. I know. Trust me on this.
