Some more Greetings as people seems to like seeing them.

suba aluth awruddak wewa - සුබ අලුත් අවුරුද්දක් වේවා HAPPY NEW YEAR Samata Suba Aluth Aurudhdhak Wewa !! Greetings From www.SpNetLk (16)

From ‘spnetlk.com’. Click to access for MORE examples. Don’t you love the see through blouse in the background. Sri Lankans are noted for touches like that! The funny thing, modesty kind of still rules supreme. Actually that image is a homage to a cultural icon — the Sigiriya Frescos. See below, if I remember.

From ‘hdwallpapersbackgrounds.com’. Click to access. Example of the fried, in coconut oil, goodies we love to indulge on, most days — bust especially New Years. The dark brown ones, at front, are sweet. The yellow, wafflish looking ones, are savory. I would eat a dozen or more of the sweet brown ones in a sitting.

Click to access Kapruka. I have talked about them before. I have used them for about 12 – 13 years. They are good. Wish they delivered in the U.S.

Those sweet brown things, now that I read the description, are called ‘Kaums’ — literally ‘cake’.

The famed, culturally iconic, Sigiriya Frescoes.

As a boy, growing up in Ceylon, I climbed Sigriya many, many, many times
— often I didn’t even bother with the frescoes, just wanting to get to the top.
