Tuesday, March 11, 2014: 2:06 pm — UPDATE.
I just had a phone call from a very nice gentleman, ‘Richard’, from Rymes Oil. He had seen this post and called me to say he liked how their pink truck looked on the post.
He then went onto CONFIRM that they, i.e., Rymes,
delivered oil to ACS both ‘yesterday and today’
AND that they are providing the oil, ‘to help out‘, at COST.
That is very nice of them. I am impressed. Seems like a very nice company. I like that they have pink trucks to raise breast cancer awareness. Appears that they donate a cent per gallon to breast cancer research. I asked, and he confirmed, the trucks are even dedicated, by name, to breast cancer victims. I told him, point blank, that I am so impressed that IF Foley Oil (who I have been with for over 17 years) gives me any grief — I am signing up with Rymes.
So lets please get one thing straight here re. these ’emergency’ oil deliveries to ACS. Rymes is HELPING OUT — at cost. They are the good guys.
In one case there was no question that it delivered something to the school through a long pipe. I would have to assume that it was heating oil.
So what happened to the Fred Fuller “pre-buy” (or what we thought was a pre-buy) — that Deanna once questioned at an ACS School Board meeting? I guess that money is going bye-bye like so much before it. Nice. Very nice.
<< Appears I was wrong about the Fred Fuller pre-buy though I thought I remembered Deanna standing up at a Board Meeting asking them about the wisdom of pre-buy. C’est la vie. Can’t get it all right, especially given all the irons I have in the fire. Fallibility is my handmaiden since I am, unlike some, very mortal. Plus, given all the outright baseless statements about me made by the Superintendent and Principal in the last few months, I have no qualms about getting something like this wrong. At least I admit it when I get something wrong. >>
Yes, I know that the Administration threatened to do this in the letter they sent home on March 4th. So now they have gone ahead with it. I guess the Alton taxpayers, as ever, will have to grin and bear it.
As ever, my goal is to document this stuff.
