$25,000 to transition the old ACS Website to a new one sounds way, way, way too excessive!
Unlike the ACS board, most of who wouldn’t know a URL if it dropped into their heaped platter, I kind of do know my way around Websites, domains, registrars and all of that. Remember I can create a new Website, from scratch, in 20 minutes. Plus, it isn’t as if I don’t have Websites. Just look over here >>>>
Moreover, I am always amazed at how primitive the ACS Website is. It reminds me of the early Websites of the 1980s! Talk about being devoid of images. It looks like it was created using a typewriter — a manual one at that. So, this is not healthcare.gov. This is very, very BASIC, mainly textual, unstructured Website. $25,000. That is CRAZY. There are other words, but, I, unlike some, like to be restrained.
Check out this from hosting specialist Blue Host. $99! BIG difference between $99 and $25,000. I am even willing to split the difference. $5,000 could be more than enough.
Yes, IF the ACS administration didn’t go around constantly bad mouthing me I might even have considered doing this for FREE for Alton. Yes, I create pro bono Websites for folks … example 1 and example 2. It doesn’t take me long.
This is not kosher. $25,000 sounds way out of the ballpark. But, what is new. This Board loves to spend the Alton taxpayers money — they don’t care. At least two of them don’t even know what it is like to be a taxpayer.
