Since Rotary is famous for their auctions to raise money for the Club, I gave them a copy of one of my books to auction. It went for $55! Wow. It is for the Club and everybody knows that. But, I was so happy.

I used to be in Rotary. I was even the Sergeant-At-Arms.

I offered my ‘Comet ISON‘ presentations to a number of N.H. Rotary Clubs BUT Portsmouth was the only one that took me up. I am glad.

What a club. Close to 150 members. I thought Laconia was big at 100.

Very, very nice people, but that tends to invariably be the case with Rotary.

Even made me a bit nostalgic. I had fun at Rotary. Being Sergeant-At-Arms suited me.

The meeting was at the very salubrious ‘Portsmouth Country Club‘. What a great lunch.

I had a great time. Lovely people. I think they liked the presentation. I only had 20 minutes, so I had to keep it pithy.

I have offered to come back and do a different presentation next year.

This was fun. Deanna went with me, as she does to most presentations I do. She really liked it.

That they auctioned off one of my books for $55 was a blast. That was a compliment. I love Rotary auctions. I used to be a bidding addict. It is for a good cause so that makes it rewarding.

I just LOVED that they read out LOUD the famous Rotary 4-Way TEST.

I am a great believer in the 4-Way Test. Though no longer a Rotarian, I think, I still live by the 4-Way Test.

Thank YOU, Portsmouth Rotary. That was fun. Can’t wait to come back and do another presentation.

A friend of mine, a veteran of the Middle East, gave me a heads up on this via an e-mail. His subject line just said “OMG …“. Since I know his idiosyncratic sense of humor I knew it was going to be good.

Didn’t realize that it was that good.

But, to be fair, it is possible that most Arabic men are NOT that familiar with the detailed anatomy of their females. I really don’t know much about them, but I get the feeling that they probably are not into …

And, then AGAIN.

As an expert on Cathedral architecture … there has always been this … and it is explained off as being what it really is supposed to be … welcoming you to enter the … again. Check it out. I kid you not. When I explain this to women they are shocked … because they had never realized it before … but as soon as you point it out … and some of them actually have a small projecting ‘nub’ at the apex (whereas this one just as a circle) ! It is so cute.

I picked up two bottles from the N.H. Liquor Store in Portsmouth around 11 a.m. this morning. The N.H. Liquor Store in Farmington did NOT have any and claimed that they would not be carrying any!

I am writing this as I am enjoying, thoroughly, my first glass of the Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2013.

Very fruity. Very pungent but pleasing aroma. Deep, rich, gratifying dark maroon as befits the Nouveau.

I think, it is slightly more tart that what it was in 2012. But, I think it is a sophisticated, complex type of tartness. Not unpleasant at all. I could call it robust and tangy.

Yes, I could imagine that a few ladies might find it a tad too tart and acidic to their liking and that is OK. Just enjoy a sip.

It is way beyond POTABLE.

It really is CHUGGABLE.

That said, you also don’t really want to chug it. It does have a very pleasant, lingering aftertaste. A mellow glow. Makes your mouth tingle.

I love it.

I bought two bottles — to be on the safe side. The first bottle will be gone by this evening.

The price has gone up a full $1 since last year. This year it is $10.99. But, we did get intimation of that — less grapes.

[P.S., Because I asked politely and I was dressed to the ‘9s’ since I was off to Portsmouth Rotary to do a presentation, they gave me a promotional flyer as a souvenir.]

I think the price is OK.

Definite, definite THUMBS and wine glass up.

Enjoy!

Salut!

Thank YOU, Georges Duboeuf.

Thank YOU, France.
