Teischan and I made the trek on Monday, June 11, 2018. Now that she is being homeschooled this was to count as a Field Trip — her second on successive weekdays. It was our first time to ‘The Flume’. We were going to go a couple of years ago but ended up going to “Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves” (in Lincoln) because Teischan loves to clamor around inside caves.

Glad we made it to “The Flume”. Interesting and different and one heck of a pleasant hike. Teischan described the ‘Flume’ section as ‘Cool’! So, that was good.

Being a Monday it was not busy. There were two school buses in the Parking Lot but we did not encounter any kids until we were back at the Visitor Center around 2pm. So, that was good.

Very scenic with plenty of moving water — in addition to the tranquil pools. Very relaxing. Easy hike/walk. We did the full, complete loop, with even a couple of small extensions.

Well worth visiting. We made a whole, productive day of it also taking in the “Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway” — which was spectacular — and the near Acadian “Echo Lake”.
