Rather Than Waiting In Vain For Panasonic Lumix LX200 Consider Samsung NX500.

There is also this YouTube video
that rates the NX500 over the LX100.

The Samsung NX500 with a zoom lens should be better than a Panasonic Lumix LX200APS-C sensor, on sensor PHASE DETECT and an insane 28MP resolution.

So give it some serious thought.

Intriguing little camera. Micro Four-Thirds with 20MP Sony sensor. Supposedly can be used with any MFT lens. The 42.5 f/1.8 lens looks very tempting.

The overall price, even with both lenses, is good.

This camera got a lot of attention at PhotoKina and continues to gain attention at “DPReview“.

But for the lack of a Viewfinder (EVF) you could definitely think of it as a Panasonic LX100 replacement/successor.

Panasonic New Lumix LX10 vs Fairly New Lumix ZS100: Faster Lens vs. Longer Zoom, Same Price, Same Sensor.

Fascinating choice.

Glad I will NOT have to make it. SMILE.

f1.4 to 2.8 is DAMN FAST. Both offer ISO 25600. With that fast lens, with ISO cranked up, you could get some great pictures indoors without a flash. And night scenery. Fireworks?

But a 250mm zoom is nice too and that from me — currently having a ball with the Nikon P900 and its 2000mm zoom.

Hhmmm.

The LX10 is DEFINITELY not the Panasonic Lumix LX100 replacement.

Panasonic LX15/LX10 With 1″ Sensor Definitely Not The The Successor To The ‘Four-Thirds’ LX100.

Early this morning, based on the lack of control dials, I pointed out that the Panasonic LX15/LX10 cannot be the supposed successor to the Panasonic Lumix LX100.

That the LX15/LX10 has a 1″ sensor is the ULTIMATE PROOF that the LX15 is NOT the hoped for ‘LX200‘.

The successor to the LX100 is still somewhere in the pipeline. But why wait? Just get a Canon M5 with a even bigger sensor.

I Don’t Think Panasonic ‘LX15’ Is The Successor To LX100; The Once Rumored ‘LX200’.

This cannot be the successor to the Panasonic Lumix LX100.

Why? Simple reason.

Direct control, à la Fuji, was a trademark of the LX100. There was NO PSAM dial. Instead you had a shutter speed dial with ‘A’. This is what the top of a LX100 looks like.

The LX15 is NOT an enthusiast’s camera. It is a consumer compact.

So a real LX200 could still be in the offing.

Panasonic ‘LX200’, i.e., Successor To LX100, Now Called ‘LX15’ — But Not On Rumor List For Photokina 2015 Unveiling.

A Chinese site does have this Panasonic registration for a “LX15
— in Chinese.

lx15china

Use link above to access Chinese original. This is a Google translation. Click to ENLARGE. Says it is a 20MP 4/3rd sensor. So looks like the anticipated LX200.

All rumors and conjecture as yet. So this can change. Interesting that the Panasonic ‘LX200‘ or ‘LX15’ is NOT included as a possibility in the September 19, 2016 announcement though much has been said about the LX15 in the last couple of weeks.

Why Panasonic would call it LX15 rather than say LX110, LX150 or LX200 is yet another Japanese mystery.

The 20MP four-thirds sensor definitely hints that it is a follow-up on the LX100.

Panasonic Lumix LX200 To Now Be Announced Soon — Well Ahead Of September Photokina 2016.

It is crazy that there is still confusion as to the sensor size and format. Of course it will be a Micro Four-Thirds. That is what the sensor format is on the Panasonic Lumix LX100 and Panasonic will not mess with that.

The big issue is whether the LX200, in contrast to the LX100, will ever use the full-size of the sensor.

Interesting that they have brought forward the announcement date. They probably don’t want the Pentax K-70 full disclosure on July 15, 2016 to steal too much thunder given that both cameras will be in the same price range.
