I had an e-mail this morning from a reader of this blog opining that it maybe Jack Williams and that the ‘tortoise and the hare’ sounds like Jack Williams’ “Hand Me Down” (below).
I was NOT familiar with Jack Williams. I looked him up and listened to “Hand Me Down” on YouTube. Possible, BUT not 100% convinced.

Somebody else had suggested Paul Simon, but I am sure that that is a non-starter.
I think my first choice, British Johnny Flynn, is still a good bet.

It is blinking, bloody brilliant. Dry, quirky, understated British humor at its sparkling best. The characters are a riot and the dialogue, pithy, but priceless.

We watched Episode 1 of Series 3 on Saturday and it was beyond good.
If you can get it, do NOT miss it. It is a CLASSIC.
Oh, you also get to see a yellow TR7 — albeit, a hardtop.
