The Drought In New Hampshire Is Getting Increasingly Worrisome.

If you go walking everyday as I do, it is impossible not to notice the paucity of rain days we have. I really can’t remember the last day when I had to change my walking schedule due to rain. (Very different to when we were in Shenandoah last week. It rained two days in a row & we were told that daily rain had been the norm much of this crazy Summer).

Yes, wife has been complaining about her plants & she is out there most days with the hose.

But, it was seeing these ponds that really got me concerned. I have never seen them this low. I have been walking by them, a few times a week, for years. Seeing them this low was scary.

Yes, Summer is nearly over. Weather pattern will change in a few weeks. But …

We should be concerned. Very concerned.

I had to go to Rochester, New Hampshire this morning. While I was there I decided that I might as well get some of my walking out of the way & also get some different shots. Rochester rarely disappoints. They invariably have a good crop of flowers in the Summer months — & we are still in Summer (though, just). SMILE. Enjoy.

What Happened To College Student Activism? Sit Ins? Protest Marches? Student Unions?

Though I am on my 3rd College kid, this only dawned on me a couple of days ago. It had not occurred to I earlier.

Compared to US in the 1960s & 1970s today’s College kids are a bunch of WIMPS!

What happened?

How did it happen?

When did it happen?

Have YOU noticed. We never hear of sit-ins, protest marches or student demonstrations.

U.S. Universities & Colleges do NOT appear to have Student Unions!

Ah! No Student Unions.

This is crazy.

Today’s kids just whine to their parents via social media. They refuse to take matters into their own hands & sort it out.

What happened?

This happened way, way before COVID.

This is GREAT — JUST GREAT — for Colleges, organizations & politicians.

Meek, voiceless, impotent students.

Wow. We took on Governments.

Yes, I was a radical. Whenever I think back to my College days, I do not recall the lecture rooms. But, I do remember the sit-ins, the Student Union building, protest marches.

I need to look into this. IF you can help I will be most grateful. Thank you.

We have to FIX this.
