The LATEST. Delivered July 3, 2019.
The ice makers on two of them, the Samsung & the Whirlpool, packed up — on the Samsung within 4-months & on the Whirlpool after 18-months. Folks, including those at Best Buy, keep on saying that ice makers are the bane of modern refrigerators. But, ‘we’ (and by that I do include myself) are so dependent on ice makers and ice water from the fridge.
It all started in April 2017. The GE that came with this house (both of which were new when we bought the house in 2007) packed up exactly one-month after its 10th anniversary! Talk about planned obsolescence.
We then got the Samsung. Ice maker packed up after 4-months. So, we were still under warranty. But, it took four (4) torturous months before we could get bloody Samsung to get around to addressing the problem. They told Best Buy (where we bought it from) to take it back and give us our money back. We then bought the Whirlpool — at Best Buy’s recommendation. They also ‘suggested’ we get the ‘Geek Squad‘ warranty.
Then, the ice maker on the Whirlpool stopped working. Geek Squad was here pretty quickly but they messed around for 2-months replacing parts. Then they said we could get a NEW one BUT we had to pay the new price. Plus, the ‘Geek Squad’ warranty ends and you have to buy another one! What a ‘deal’. Cost us $270 to get the new LG.
So, that is where we are. This is crazy. 4 refrigerators in 24 months.
Somebody, as you can see from the image, so the Vivoactive 3 being sold at Walmart for $99. Soon, like this coming week, other will join in. You might actually find that some ‘smaller’ retailers have ALREADY sold out of Vivoactive 3s. (SMILE). Read between the lines.
The $350 price for the Garmin Fenix 5, today, should be just the beginning. The Fenix 5 and 5 Plus has already been obsoleted by the new Garmin Forerunner 945. So, this is not a huge surprise. Garmin’s do typically go on sale this time of year. Well I have given you a BIG Heads-Up. SMILE. Enjoy. Happy shopping.

In the end it was good, ‘not bad’ though 15-minutes in I did say “this is so boring“! By that stage 90% of the fireworks had been single, hand-fired, pop-pop-pop starbursts and when this is your second fireworks show in 24-hours there is only so many starbursts you can stomach — especially if you are looking at them through the viewfinder of a camera.
Yes, Wolfeboro spends MORE on its fireworks than Alton and that is HOW it should be given that Wolfeboro, with property owners like Mitt Romney, the ‘Black and Decker’ family and the Marriotts, is insanely wealthy.
Another great night for fireworks, like the night before. WARM (in the high 70F) and cloudless. It does not get any better. Quite a big crowd, though we got our usual spot, on top of the grass bank, right across from where they set off the fireworks, without any problems — though we only got there 25-minutes before the start. It was a good night overall. Wolfeboro did GOOD. Bravo and thank YOU.
I took about 300 pictures. Then I mercilessly deleted about 100. There are only so many starbursts that you want to keep.
