Remembrance Sunday 2018, London Cenotaph Ceremony Video, With The Queen Resplendent With 5 Poppies.

by Anura Guruge

From the U.K. “Daily Mail” — my main newspaper.

For the 2nd time, The Queen, now 92, watched from a balcony and let two generations of her male progeny lay the wreaths. That is cool. She has done her duty — plenty.

This was her 67th Remembrance Sunday. Wow.

For those unfamiliar with this holiday & tradition please refer to my EARLIER post.
Thank YOU.

‘FedEx’ ‘Tortoise & The Hare’ TV Commercial — Is It Sung By ‘Jack Williams’ (Of South Carolina)?

by Anura Guruge

Click to access my original post re. this FedEx tortoise and the hare tv commercial.

I had an e-mail this morning from a reader of this blog opining that it maybe Jack Williams and that the ‘tortoise and the hare’ sounds like Jack Williams’ “Hand Me Down” (below).

I was NOT familiar with Jack Williams. I looked him up and listened to “Hand Me Down” on YouTube. Possible, BUT not 100% convinced.

Click to access Jack Williams’ Website.

YouTube of Jack Williams’ “Hand Me Down”.

Somebody else had suggested Paul Simon, but I am sure that that is a non-starter.

I think my first choice, British Johnny Flynn, is still a good bet.

IF you KNOW PLEASE do share. Thanks.
