I am not sure what to make of this. I read about the study in the U.K. “Daily Mail” my primary source of news. I then went to the original source to make sure it was kosher.

It is a credible institution. I have come across them before. They are associated with the ‘University of Washington‘ and get funding from the Bill Gates’ charitable foundation.

What concerns me about these findings is the accuracy of the data provided — by the countries. That the lowest levels are among ‘developing’ countries while the highest rates are among the ‘developed’ countries give me pause for thought.

How many cases in rural areas go untreated and as such undocumented and unreported?

But, it is also possible that we have lower incidence of cancer — though, of course, I know Sri Lankans who have had cancer.

I am just bringing it to your attention.

Flowers Of ‘Aubuchon Hardware Store’, Alton, New Hampshire — June 3, 2018.

We stopped at the ‘Aubuchon‘, at the Alton Traffic Circle, Sunday afternoon, to get some propane (for the grill) and some bags of water-softener salt.

As is always the case, this time of year, they had a mighty fine display of flowers. I had to take some pictures. We had a bunch of things to do and we were in a hurry. So, I had to rush these pictures. Hence the somewhat poor quality on some. But, still decent enough to enjoy.

Taken with my Google Pixel 2.

Roadside Memorial, At The Alton ‘Circle’, For Motorcycle Victim ‘Gary Murphy’.

This memorial, replete with two full-size plastic chairs, was installed at the ‘Circle’ yesterday, i.e., June 2, 2018. By far the most elaborate and extensive Roadside Memorial in Alton — and we have a few. I gather it was done by ‘Mary’, the owner of Alton’s uber-successful ‘JP China‘ Chinese restaurant. It appears that ‘Gary Murphy’ was her brother-in-law.

I did not know him. But, given that he is supposed to have operated the new Alton car wash the chances are that I have met/seen him since I have used that car wash a number of times.

The Alton ‘Circle’ is BIG and the vegetated center is in a hollow. So as you can see from some of the pictures, this roadside memorial is in that large hollow. But, it is visible from the road.
