If Your Fitbit Ionic Touchscreen Is Even More Unresponsive Than Normal …

If you find that the Fitbit Ionic screen does not activate when you turn your wrist or tap the screen twice, check the “Screen Wake” option. It should be on “auto“. If it is on “manual” the Ionic will act frigid.

Since, INEXPLICABLY Fitbit does not provide a screen lock option, settings like these can get accidently ‘reset’. Mine goes nuts when I am taking a shower. Very annoying. With my ex-Garmin I was able to keep the touchscreen locked.

To access the “Screen Wake” option SWIPE RIGHT from the watchface. Then you can check.

This setting makes a huge difference. So, before you take a hammer to your Fitbit Ionic check the “Screen Wake” option.
