The “Pony Express” Started Its First Ever Run This Day 157-Years Ago — April 3, 1860.

Google, in 2015, did a very fancy Google Doodle to mark the 155th anniversary of the “Pony Express” — but did so on April 13.

That was not wrong or a mistake. Just that very Californian Google was being CA-centric.

April 13, 10 days from April 3, was when the mail was DELIVERED to California.
