Think – Today: Why Does The Moon Have A “Dark Side”?

by Anura Guruge

You must have heard the expression “dark side of the moon” (or maybe even heard the ‘Pink Floyd‘ song of that title)? What does it mean? Why does the moon have a dark side?

Think first, then research, then THINK again. Think for the pleasure of thinking.

Yesterday’s ‘Think’: “Break a leg” — in the Middle Ages (think ‘Shakespeare’) audiences showed their appreciation to a stage performer by banging their legs on the wooden floor of the ‘theater’. IF somebody got carried away they could break their leg by banging it too hard. So the ‘break a leg’ didn’t apply to the performer. What it means is: “go out and do such a great performance that somebody in the audience breaks their leg by banging it so hard!”
