Disrespecting The Buddha’s Image — An Incense Dispenser!

by Anura Guruge

We happened to be at T.J. Maxx in Gilford, NH yesterday
and I happened to see this.

An incense holder in the shape of the Buddha’s head.

It had been reduced from $4.99 to $4.00.

I bought it just to get it off the shelf.

T.J. Maxx should be ASHAMED!

There are HOLES drilled in the Buddha’s head!

Here is the tag that is attached to the Buddha’s head
with the name of the company that had it made.

I am no longer a Buddhist BUT I do not think that this is right.

I can’t see them doing this to the image of any other religious leader.

Not sure what Buddhists, worldwide, might want to do about this.

No Walmart Closings In New Hampshire.

by Anura Guruge

This is good. When we heard the news yesterday I was slightly concerned that they might close the Rochester, NH Walmart, the one nearest to use, though it is a ‘Super Store’. Well I need not have worried. NO Walmarts in New Hampshire are targeted for the axe. That is good.

Hope this helps.

My June 20, 2015 post about the pope’s efforts to standardize the date of Easter.

As I pointed out in my June 2015 post, this is HUGE.

As the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Head of the Church of England, points out they first started talking about standardizing the date of Easter in the 10th Century!

But the stars appear to be getting better aligned for a momentous decision. It will be HUGE.

I will keep you posted.

Easter this year will be on Sunday, March 27, 2016.

I have my hands full keeping tabs of the pope and the Catholic Church. So I pay scant, if any, attention to what happens in the U.S. Episcopal Church. But when I saw this, in the U.K. “Daily Mail”, which I read, religiously, online, every morning, before getting out of bed, I knew I should share it with you.

Metrocast Boldly Responds To TDS By Boosting Central New Hampshire Internet Speeds To 105 Mbps.

by Anura Guruge

YES, YES, YES.

Thank YOU, Thank YOU, Thank YOU.

105 Mbps from MetroCast next week better
than TDS’ empty promises of 1 Gig down the line.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Even better it looks like an AUTOMATIC upgrade
and at the SAME price.

Good deal. I knew Metrocast would react to TDS’ claims.

I saw them upgrading equipment, up the poles, last week.
So I knew something was coming down the pike.

Thank YOU, Metrocast.

Here is the e-mail I received today.

I was a bit confused because it was from ‘Harron.com’.
Forgotten they now own Metrocast. I checked the Metrocast Website.
All kosher. See below.

the thousand or so taken by Deanna and Devanee with their cameras.

Over the next few weeks I will share some of these images with you
as bonus pictures.
