Annual Post-Christmas Sale At Hammacher Schlemmer Offers Some Interesting Price.

As I have often mentioned I get regular (i.e., at least once a week (it seems) e-mails from Hammacher Schlemmer — though I am NOT a customer. I do have to confess that I do enjoy seeing what they offer, since these are indeed what I would readily buy IF I had the money.

Yesterday and today I got e-mails about their up to 80% off Annual Sale — which they refer to, unashamedly, as their “Rather Famous“. Well as you can see they do appear to have made some deep discounts THOUGH it begs the question whether these items were ever worth more than what they are listed at now. Also, I have found that you can buy the same, if NOT very similar items, on Amazon for less — though, of course, by doing so you lose the cachet of having the satisfaction and bragging-rights of having bought it from the ‘Jewish Catalogue’, as the kids call it (because of its name). Yes, we get printed copies of the catalogue, in the mail, and the kids love to look at what rich kids get for Christmas (if not Hanukkah).
